How to Download Your CoursePack in XanEdu's iPad App
Here's a quick video showing step-by-step instructions for downloading your CoursePack.

Here are the key features and highlights that make the XanEdu iPad app the most innovative tool for digital viewing of course materials. Here's a video tutorial about this topic.
Easily turn pages by using the arrow buttons at the bottom of each page.
Or, tap near the right or left margin of a page, then flick left or right.
Tap and hold on the page controls and drag your finger to advance more than one page at a time.
Tap the Library icon to return to the Library of CoursePacks on your iPad.
Use the Table of Contents icon to view the list of articles in your CoursePack and navigate to them by tapping on the title.

Our “Magic Back Button” enables you to return to your original location after selecting an internal exhibit or footnote while reading your CoursePack.

Change the font size for easier viewing - tap on the small 'A' to decrease the font or the large 'A' to increase the font.
Tap and hold on an image to enlarge it.
Tap outside the image to dismiss the window.

Search (back to top)
XanEdu enables you to search a coursepack or your entire library for a particular word or phrase.
Tap the Search icon.
Enter the word or phrase you want to search for.
Tap the search result that you want to go to.


Highlight and Annotate (back to top)
The XanEdu application allows you to select from five highlight colors, with customizable labels to identify the meaning of each color. You can highlight sections of text, and add comments to the highlights if desired.

Highlight a Section of Text
Touch and hold any word until it’s selected. Use the grab points to adjust the selection, then tap Highlight.
To remove a highlight, tap the highlighted text, then tap Remove Highlight.
To change the color of a highlight, tap the highlighted text, then tap Change and select a color from the menu.

Add a Highlight with a Comment
Touch and hold any word until it’s selected. Use the grab points to adjust the selection, then tap Comment.
Type your comment, then dismiss the keyboard or tap outside the comment to dismiss the window.

View or Edit the Text of an Existing Comment
Tap on the comment icon in the right margin of the CoursePack.
Edit the text, then dismiss the keyboard or tap outside the comment to dismiss the window.
Change the Color of a Highlight or Comment (back to top)
Tap and hold on the section of text that is highlighted.
Select Change Color.
Select the label that matches the color you want to change to.
The highlight color will change, along with the color of the comment icon if applicable.
Change the Descriptive Labels of Your Highlight Colors
Tap the Settings icon.
Under Edit Highlight/Comment Labels, choose one of the highlight colors.
Tap the text box to edit the text.
Tap the Settings button to return to the highlight list.
Tap on the CoursePack or tap the Settings icon to dismiss the highlight window.

Tap on the settings icon.
Under Active Highlight, choose one of the highlight colors.
A checkmark will indicate that it is now the active highlight color.
Tap on the CoursePack or tap the Settings icon to dismiss the highlight window.
View All Highlights and Comments for Your CoursePack (back to top)
Tap the Notes icon.
Choose to view highlights & comments for the Current Article or for the entire CoursePack. To hide Highlights (i.e. only view Comments), toggle the Show Highlights selector to the Off position.
To hide Comments (i.e. only view Highlights), toggle the Show Comments selector to the Off position.
Tap the Notes icon to dismiss the window.

Add CoursePack Notes (back to top)
You can add notes that are accessible from anywhere in the CoursePack, but are not tied to a specific section of text.

Tap the Notes icon
Tap Add or Edit CoursePack Notes
Enter your text, then dismiss the keyboard or tap outside the comment to dismiss the window.
